ISLAND PEAK CLIMB
This 17-day adventure offers an exhilarating combination of trekking through the iconic Khumbu Valley and summiting Island Peak (6,183 m), one of Nepal’s most renowned trekking peaks. Starting in the vibrant capital of Kathmandu, rich with culture and heritage, the journey quickly transitions to the breathtaking landscapes of the Everest region. As the trek gains altitude, you’ll pass through legendary Sherpa villages such as Phakding and Namche Bazaar, where carefully planned acclimatization days ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
The route unfolds amid dramatic Himalayan scenery, with towering peaks, glacial valleys, and picturesque settlements like Dingboche and Chukhung, before reaching Island Peak Base Camp. A dedicated practice and acclimatization day at base camp provides vital preparation for the exciting summit push. Standing atop Island Peak rewards climbers with sweeping views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Ama Dablam, creating an unforgettable highlight of the journey.
After the summit achievement, the descent retraces your steps through familiar villages, offering opportunities to savor Sherpa hospitality and reflect on your accomplishment. A scenic flight from Lukla to Kathmandu and a farewell dinner mark the end of this once-in-a-lifetime Himalayan expedition, perfectly blending cultural exploration, challenging adventure, and world-class mountain scenery.
