General Information

Booking Policy
To reserve space on any trip, 20% of the trip cost is required with the completed reservation form at least 60 days before the trip date. Final payment can be made on arrival in Kathmandu either in travellers cheque or cash. If written notice of cancellation is received 15 days before trip departure, 10% of the trip cost shall be levied as cancellation fee. However, no refund shall be made from the deposit if written cancellation notice is not received within the stipulated days.

Insurance
We recommend that you take out baggage loss, accident and trip cancellation insurance. Trip cancellation insurance should reimburse you any non-recoverable air or land expenses should you have to cancel your trip due to personal or family illness, as well as cover any emergency evacuation expenses if you become ill during the trip. Helicopter Rescue Evacuation can cost about US$ 3,000.

Medication
All travellers should consult with their physician or for updates on vaccination requirements. Cholera, Typhoid, Tetanus and hepatitis: None of these shots are required for entry into Nepal, but we recommend that you get innoculations or boosters for these before travelling.

Anyone visiting the terai (Chitwan National Park) should be informed that Malaria does exist in these areas. Consult your doctor about taking chloroquine as a preventive. However, during late December and January when temperature gets low, there are no mosquito, not even in Chitwan.
